Out of high school Michael dabbled with sketching but got drawn into the ski world with driving a snow cat at Fortress Mountain.  From there it was a hop, skip and a jump into snowmaking and operations.  Lake Louise Ski Hill scooped him up and he now has over 20-years service for the hill.  Michael returns yearly for a couple months to oversee the winter start-up and get the hill ready for the World Cup Downhill.  During this time he finds inspiration in the mountains and fills his sketch pad with drawings.  Returning to his workshop this translates into exciting new art pieces and statues.
