Testimonials
Jill Cross – Board Chair, Leighton Art Center; Public Art Consultant, City of Calgary & Calgary Stampede Grounds."Working with Michael Perks has been a completely positive experience. His creative outlook, attention to detail, and ability to transform an idea into a spectacular work of art make him a pleasure to work with. Michael’s love of Western Canada and his dedication to his art form allow him to create inspiring sculptures that are appreciated by everyone who has had the opportunity to collect his work. He is extremely professional and respectful of timelines and budgets. I would not hesitate to recommend Michael for any project."
George Brookman – CEO, West Canadian Digital Imaging Inc."It is a pleasure for me to give you a few brief words about Michael and the great sculpture that we are so proud of here at West Canadian. It was a pleasure to work with both of you (Claire Perks and Michael Perks). Michael’s ideas and insight about the commission was absolutely accurate. I am also very happy with the way that he accommodated my desire to have something that was more colourful than the original model, and “Prime Meridian” certainly met that requirement.
I must tell you that we have had many different bridal parties come to the building to have their wedding photos taken in front of the sculpture. When I visited the last group they said that they wanted to have the sculpture as the background because it was so bright and cheerful and by turning it they could get different looks into each of the photos.
Anyway, we are very happy with the work that Michael did for us and I am pleased to provide this note of recognition for a job well done."
