A tribute to the 100th Anniversary of the Calgary Stampede. The statue includes 169 names of people who have been a big part of making the Stampede what it is today. Will be on display for the duration of Stampede in the Western Oasis (Art Show).
If you’re going to be down on the Stampede grounds this July don’t miss a walk through the Western Art Show, located in the BMO center. Aptly called the ‘Western Oasis’ it is a pleasant break from the mayhem going on outside. As luck would have it Michael is located just inside the main doors and will be the first artist you see. This will be Michael’s second art show to date and he has lots of new fabulous pieces. Truth be told he learned a lot creating art for his first showing at the Stampede and this year takes all that learning to a whole new level. His pieces have improved remarkably and are very exciting to see. Here’s a sample of a few new pieces:
