Every year at the Calgary Stampede Western Art Show they judge all the art on display. Any artists exhibiting for the first time fall under the ‘New Artist’ category; this year there was 12. Out of those new artists Mike won the award for the best new artist! With it came a flashy new buckle, show ribbon & certificate. The judges primary comments were how ‘new’, ‘exciting’, ‘different’ & ‘very creative’ Mike’s work was.
